
ROTARY RINGS OUT THE OLD AND RINGS IN A NEW CENTURY OF SERVICE AT WINCHESTER CATHEDRAL
Bell ringer and Rotary District Governor for the Winchester area, David Pike practising ringing out the old century and ringing in the new at Winchester Cathedral today, to mark the centenary of Rotary International tomorrow. On Wednesday David will be ringing the bells at Winchester Cathedral prior to a special service of celebration to mark Rotary’s centenary at the cathedral, conducted by the Very Rev Michael Till at 7.00pm. Over a thousand people are expected at the service including President Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland Gordon McInally, and civic dignitaries from the region. |
